Emily Wiskera
Since 2011, Emily has specialized in museum education with a focus on accessibility. As an Interpretation Specialist, she develops visitor activities and resources like labels, self-guides, sensory stations, and participatory experiences that foster connections between visitors and the art.
Previously, Emily was the Senior Manager of Access Programs at the DMA, where she developed programs for visitors with dementia, autism, Parkinson’s, and other disabilities. She has written extensively on autism programming and trauma-aware museum practices. Emily is dedicated to creating inclusive, engaging experiences that inspire visitors to reflect, share, and connect.
